I always wanted to go to my uncle’s place at Shimla for my holidays, but it was not possible because it was a long journey by car and train. However, this year I was surprised and overjoyed to hear from my dad that we were going there for our winter vacation.

We got a tourist coach till Janakpur and we caught a train from there to Mumbai. I also I met my previous classmates there.

We started our bus journey to Shimla early in the morning. We received a warm welcome. When we woke up early in the morning I went to play with snowballs in the garden with my brothers and sisters. It was like heaven for me because we almost never have snowfalls in Kathmandu. My mum and dad too joined us and we had so much fun in the snow.

The next day we went for fishing with my uncle and dad at the riverside. Since my uncle is an expert in fishing we caught around 5kgs of fish that very day.

Our Shimla vacation included visits to many temples and amusement parks, movies and visiting relatives. We returned back to Nepal on January 13. I am not going to forget my vacation and hope my dad takes us to Shimla next year.
