SCHOOL TIMES : Respect for all

Life is precious and beautiful. However, it is up to us to make our life a valuable one.

Joy, success, entertainment add a lot to make our life a happy one. Yet respect has its own special place in making our life complete.

Human beings are always in search of a prestigious life in which respect occupies an important space.

Respect is taken as an important part of discipline.

A polite expression, speech and behaviour symbolise respect.

We are taught that we should always respect our elders. But it should also be noted here that every individual deserves respect irrespective of age, caste or creed. A person’s calibre earns him respect from his peers, elders and younger ones.

However, a certain discrimination has been creepin in our society. A person who has money and enjoys a luxurious life thinks himself to be better than others, while the poor are discriminated against. Even the respect that should be given our elders is being trampled upon.

Seeing this trend, the young ones today should be encouraged and taught to show respect to our fellow beings no matter what.
