MUMBAI: This time it’s true, we kid you not. Shilpa Shetty is finally getting engaged to her suave, London-based business beau Raj Kundra.

It’s happening tomorrow at his Juhu residence. Apparently Raj popped the question to the Bollywood hottie who he has been dating for some time, on Diwali. Saturday is an auspicious day according to the Hindu calendar and the couple decided to go ahead with the engagement even though Shilpa’s sister Shamita, who is in the Bigg Boss house, won’t be present for the ceremony and celebration.

Manish Malhotra will dress up Shilpa in a saree while Raj, always a natty dresser, will get ready on his own. His parents have flown down for the big day. The party is going to be a very private affair with only close friends and family members attending it.

Shilpa and Raj have been together ever since she stepped out of the UK reality show Big Brother and sought Raj’s help to launch her perfume brand. At that time, he had famously told BT tongue firmly in cheek, “It was the scent of Shilpa that attracted me to her.” Now Raj intends moving base to Mumbai for good because he wants Shilpa to continue her association with Bollywood. “I have my own place in London but it’s easier to find house help here. In the UK, you have to do everything yourself,” he had said.
