Show time: Fantasy and harsh reality

KATHMANDU: For all the Capital’s movie buffs, two movies are being screened this weekend. Serial kisser Emraan Hashmi is back with his wicked smile and bad boy image with a golden heart to bowl over all the ladies. And for those who like the world of fantasies, then the sequel to Narnia is here to take all on an adventurous and memorable journey through a magical world.

Jannat is the story of a man caught in a quagmire of crime and consumerism as he struggles to find heaven on earth. Arjun (Emraan Hashmi) is a reckless young man with an obsession for making money. A chance meeting with Zoya (Sonal Chauhan) gives him the reason he was looking for to move out of his ordinary life. He steps up from playing small-time card games to becoming a bookie to the world of match fixing. Arjun switches on the limelight to bigger, better, faster, more, until he has to choose between the two — love of his life or limitless wealth?

Jannat will be screened at Gopi Krishna and Jai Nepal.

Four heroes Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy return to the adventures of Narnia after a year. But they find that it’s been hundreds of years since they left and an evil King Miraz rules the magical world. The children are once again enlisted to join Aslan and the colourful creatures of Narnia in combating an evil villain who prevents the true heir of the throne, the exiled Prince Caspian from ruling the land. Get ready to go back into the world of fantasy, magic and more in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
