Show time: Weekend flicks
KATHMANDU:
Two new films will hit the theatres this weekend — one is Priyadarshan’s Bollywood comedy Dhol, while the other is the third in the Bourne series — The Bourne Ultimatum (at Kumari only), based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Robert Ludlum.
Lots of characters colliding with one another in a chaotic situation is a regular feature in a Priyadarshan comedy; Dhol about four friends trying to become rich by marrying a rich girl is no different.
The story goes like this: Four friends — Sam (Tusshar Kapoor), Pakkya (Sharman Joshi), Maru (Rajpal Yadav) and Goti (Kunal Khemu) are good for nothing. They’re bound together by their ambition to make it big in life with the least effort possible. They believe that the only way to get rich without working hard is to marry a wealthy girl. As luck would have it, enter rich Kanchan (Tanushree Dutta) in their neighbourhood.
All four set out with their individual plans to marry her but end up discovering a shocking truth.
When four people have four different plans to woo a girl, it will certainly lead to confusion and some hilarious moments with interesting twists and turns. It happens in this story too. Apart from the funny element, crime, murder and suspense are also woven in the story.
Bourne 3
All he wanted was to disappear. Instead, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is now hunted by the people who made him what he is. Having lost his memory and the one person he loved, he is undeterred by the barrage of bullets and a new generation of highly-trained killers. Bourne has only one objective: to go back to the beginning and find out who he was. — HNS
