The first liberal arts and sciences institution in Nebraska, was established in 1871 and since its establishment Doane College has dedicated itself to challenging students to realise their fullest potential and also to prepare them to become ethical leaders who will be able to impact their communities in meaningful ways in the future.

Scholarships
More than 90 per cent of the students receive some form of financial aid - annually in the form of scholarships, grants, and other awards. For scholarship consideration, complete SAT or ACT scores should be sent.
Residence life
Doane is a fully residential college. The residence halls provide a variety of accommodations, including apartment-style living as well as more traditional rooms.
