The Macquarie University was established in 1964 and is internationally recognised as a leader in providing unique research opportunities, innovative teaching and learning practices, and flexible study programmes. It is ranked seventh in Australia and 82nd in the world by the UK’s 2006 Times Higher Education Supplement. More than a third of Macquarie University’s students are enrolled in postgraduate programmes, and just under a third of Macquarie’s students are international students. It is home to 30,000 students, including 8,500 international students. Macquarie University is a member of Innovative Research Universities Australia.
Courses offered

Accommodation
While the majority of students reside off-campus, there are several options on-campus for accommodation. Dunmore Lang College and Robert Menzies College are both traditional residential colleges, providing students with individual rooms and fully catered meals. Macquarie University Village provides townhouse style accommodation.
International scholarships
Macquarie University’s International Scholarship Program is aimed at attracting outstanding students from around the world and is awarded on the basis of academic merit. There are up to 20 full and partial scholarships available each year for undergraduate students across all disciplines.
The Excellence scholarships are made available to fund postgraduate PhD students of exceptional research promise. International applicants will receive tuition funding for the tenure of their award.
