Subharambha in Pokhara

KATHMANDU:

This group of 10 young music enthusiasts has entertained the music lovers of the Capital, and in its journey outside the Kathmandu Valley, Subharambha — The Musical Journey will be performing for the music aficionados of Pokhara on September 9.

This part of a tour that will take the group to all the 75 districts of the country.

Subharambha was formed almost a year ago with an objective to promote timeless musical masterpieces of the Nepali music industry especially of the early 80’s to early 90’s.

The group is determined to revive and preserve the old-time classics that influenced the then contemporary composers, lyricists and singers to produce the best songs ever.

The team is made up of Shailesh Singh, Satya and Swaroop Raj Acharya, Samaal Jagadish, Aroha Singh, Gopal Rasaili, Shailendra Singh, Sharad Joshi with Prakash Sayami and Anjali Subba Manandhar as special contributors, and Binod Baniya as guest artist.

The group will be performing at the Dipendra City Hall, Pokhara on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

The event is organised by Kaal Bhairav Event and Mangagement and Spiral Media Zone, Pokhara while Kanti-Anup Event is the local event manager.
