As all good things must come to an end, so had to the Sunsilk Nepal Fashion Week of 2005.

The Grand Finale of the Sunsilk Nepal Fashion Week went off fabulously on September 13 at Hotel Yak and Yeti, giving Nepali fashion a totally new look and status and leaving the city’s fashion fanatics hungry for more.

The Indian Education Centre certainly deserves accolades for organising such a marvellous show.

The final day had all 79 designers showcasing their best designs.

From creative to ready-to-wear, and from traditional to western wear, all presented some amazing designs. The venue was packed with fashion enthusiasts, exporters, and the designers and models looked equally stunning flaunting beautiful attires on the ramp.

Another highlight of the event was the celebrities’ walk on the ramp making the show all the more interesting. From three former Mr Nepals to the reigning one, and a VJ from a popular television channel, they all added to the charm of the fashion week.

The fashion week was a sure hit and smiles could be seen on the faces of one and all.

A rocking party at the Black Pearl wrapped up the fashion week.

The designs displayed have certainly helped Nepali fashion make an entry into the international arena and we hope that it goes places by the time the next Sunsilk Nepal Fashion Week arrives with more panache and style.
