Thank God everyday is Friday here!

Kathmandu:

Breaking the ‘only weekends should be fun’ tradition, Hotel Himalaya has come up with their unique approach to make your weekdays happening with their ‘weeklong festivities’ of various cuisines from November 10. The Café Horizon welcomes all to enjoy some mouth-watering dishes three days a week.

Forget your Monday blues and enjoy delicious Italian cuisine at the Café. The buffet dinner comprises a wide selection of salads, Lasagna al pesto, Peasce al zafarano, Pollo ala caccotora. All dishes are prepared using olive oil, and preserving the authentic taste of Italy. Relish the cheesy and rich, or the fresh and crunchy pastas and salads. For those with sweet tooth, desserts like Cassata dela casa, Zucotto and Torta volcona are served.

For those who enjoy an Asian spread, Café Horizon provides you the perfect choice of Indian, Thai, Chinese and dishes. Tantalise your taste bud with the oriental taste of Chinese dishes like Kumpau chicken, Schewan green beans and sliced lamb in oyster sauce. For those who like something hot and sour, try the Thai dishes like Tom yan kung, chicken satay or the all time favourite Thai green curry. Nearer home, Indian dishes never go wrong with the Nepali palate — spicy and aromatic Murgh malai tikka, Mutton kali mirch and Mirch ka salan will be something you try time and again. The Café also has authentic Nepali dishes for those who swear by daal-bhat, Khasi ko ledo (mutton curry), Macha tareko (fish fry) and aloo kauli tarkari (cauliflower and potato curry).

Winter is always a great time to enjoy a barbeque. And on weekends, enjoy the Mongolian barbecue at the Café. The wafting of stir-fried barbecue on a chill winter evening will do wonders for your appetite. Unlike other barbecues, the Mongolian barbeque has its own style. Generally it is a mixture of shredded meats and vegetables with noodles and stir-fried using different sauces like tomato and hot garlic. The best part is you can customise your own bowl. Select raw ingredients from a well-laden buffet, including assortment of shredded lamb, fish, chicken, tenderloin and pork and other fresh vegetables. Ask the chef to prepare it according to your choice of sauce and enjoy.

Buffet dinner will also be served with the menu changing from Continental to Indian and Chinese every week.

The festival will continue till mid of December. It is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00 pm onwards. The buffet is priced at Rs 499 per person (taxes extra).
