The game begins

Kathmandu:

It was a fun-filled occasion for those participating in the “KTM PS 2 Madness” at the Gamers’ Zone, Jhamsikhel on July 20. The video gaming tournament was being organised by KTM Card in association with the Gamers’ Zone. The games are being played in league-cum-knockout basis in two categories, FIFA 07 and Tekken 5.

“I’ve been playing the game at home, but this being a competition, perhaps I need to be a little serious,” said Jivan Gurung with a chuckle. He was among the forty participants at the occasion. “I’m making new friends, and I’m really looking forward to the competition,” Gurung added.

Loud cheers, even screams, came out of the excited participants as they locked horns before the gaming screen. According to the organisers, the tournament may last for a couple of days. The winner in each of the two categories will bag a free mountain flight ticket and a UPS is in store for the runners-up.

“This competition is being organised from our side to increase the interaction between our KTM card members,” explained Minu Shrestha, manager, KTM Card.
