The traditional & the unorthodox

Kathmandu: Among the gourmets in town, The Chimney Restaurant is not a name unheard of, particularly, for its exclusive recipes, devised by none other than the multitalented Boris Lishanevitch. ‘Steak at the Chimney,’ a food promotional festival that began from August 5, will definitely have its customers savour the tastes of a lifetime.

Among epicurean varieties of steaks, both traditional and the unorthodox, carpetbag steak with potatoes and black olives, cheese steak, pepper steak, lamb steak with tomato

chutney and wilted spinach will alone suffice to send one into culinary raptures.

You have a variety of the best wines to wash it down with — Chianti Riserva, Val Policella, Chafeuneuf Du-Pape, Bouguel and Gran Vino Reservado.

“Bell Pepper Steak and Roasted Teriyaki Tofu Steaks are exclusively for vegetarians,” says Nilesh Singhvi, executive chef. Bell Peppers steak is filled with mushrooms, cheese and peas grilled and served with balsamic reduction. Each order is complemented with

a glass of house wine. The privileged cardholder will get a discount of 15-20 per cent on each order. The event is on till August 20. — HNS
