Theatre lovers beeline for Vajra

Kathmandu:

Nepal Center of the International Theatre Institute, with support of UNESCO, is organising a three-day seminar on ‘Idioms of South Asian Theatre,’ from 5-7 August at Hotel Vajra. “This is the second such major activity of the Nepal ITI organised to bring the theatre people of the three countries, Nepal, India and Bangladesh , together. The first activity was the NIB theatre festival in April 2004. This seminar is the continuation of the same tradition,” said Abhi Subedi, president, ITI Nepal Centre. In the seminar, Sanjeev Upreti, Shiva Rijal, Nagendra Bhattrai, Tulasi Diwasa, Sangita Rayamajhi, Keshav Upadhaya, Abhi Subedi and Arun Gupto from Nepal, Ataur Rahaman and Tamanna Rahman from Bangladesh, and Nripendra Saha and Putul Saha Ray from India would present their papers. ITI is an INGO founded by UNESCO

and the international theatre community in Prague in 1948. Today is the last day of the programme.
