TOI edu fair opens

KATHMANDU: ‘India Education Expo 2008’ began on April 4 at Direction Exhibition and Convention Center, UWTC. The expo is being organised by Times of India for the first time in Nepal. The expo was inaugurated by KM Singh, Director of Nepal-India Chambers of Commerce and Industries. The expo has stalls by 26 different schools and colleges from North and South India. According to Rahul Dhulia, Manager, TOI, “The response has been quite good with the number of students that have been coming in since morning. We expect around 12,000 students during the expo.”

Schools that offer primary education to colleges offering undergraduate and post graduate courses are taking part in the expo. Colleges offering courses such as Medicine, Engineering, Hotel Management, MBA, Animation, Financial Planning and various others are present.

For those interested, you can get full information about the educational institutes from the representatives who are here from the schools and colleges. And some of them are also offering ‘on-the-spot’ admissions at a discounted rate.

The expo will continue till April 6. Entrance is free.
