True path to success
A guru had three students — Rabi, Laxman and Krishna and their guru. All three were obedient, but the guru wanted to test them to find out who was the most brilliant and talented and who was always alert. So, he called them and gave each a seed of bean and asked them to keep it safe till his return.
Rabi decided to keep it in the worship room. Laxman said that he would keep it inside a box thinking the worship-room would not be the best place to keep such a valuable thing. Krishna did not say anything.
After five long years the guru returned and asked for the seeds. Rabi said he had kept it safely and brought the seed back to him. Due to moisture, the seed already had become rotten and useless. Laxman’s seed that he had put in a box had been eaten up by insects.
Guru said to them that they were honest but they hadn’t been successful in the safekeeping of the beanseed.
Guru then turned to Krishna, who asked for some time. He went home and came back with many sacks for his guru. The guru was surprised to see the sacks. Krishna said as soon as he got the seed he had planted it and kept watering it till it bore much fruit.
The guru was very happy and said that Krishna had passed the test.
The moral of the story is that teachers are there to show us the way, but it is up to us to find the right path and path to success.
