NEW YORK: Hollywood action star Jean-Claude Van Damme has reportedly cancelled promotional appearances for his new movie JCVD so he can look after his sick puppy.

The actor is said to have recently adopted seven dogs from Bangkok, Thailand and one of the pups is in coma, according to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, reports contactmusic.com.

Van Damme has had to pull out of all promotional gigs for JCVD, a spoof documentary, in which he plays himself, in order to remain in Thailand to look after the ill pooch.
