KATHMANDU:

Radisson Hotel in association with Women for Human Rights (WHR) is organising a fund-raiser ‘Charity Bash’ on July 12.

At a press meet held at the hotel on June 28, WHR fund-raising coordinator Shradha Pradhan said the event is being organised to raise funds for two projects — WHR Opportunity Fund and Chahhari Women’s Shelter for single women.

The WHR Opportunity Fund has been created to provide education for 285 children and 20 single women, and the Chahhari Women’s Shelter looks after the immediate needs of single women by providing temporary housing and legal and medical services.

At ‘Charity Bash’ critically acclaimed film Water, directed by Deepa Mahta, will be screened followed by live music and a buffet dinner.

The major part of the fund generated from the event will go to WHR. Radi-sson is co-sponsoring the event as part of its corporate social responsibility.

The bash is scheduled for July 12 and will start at 5:00 pm and will be held at Nepa Dhuku Hall. Ticket for the event is priced Rs 1,200 per person.
