Who does not want to get rid of suffering, to step into the land of enlightenment, where true peace and happiness lies? Ratna Kaji Shrestha seems to display this wish for enlightenment through his exhibition of paintings entitled, ‘Buddha Series’ at Light and Shade Gallery, Chettrapati.

Inspired by the teachings and philosophy of the Buddha, Shakya’s 40 paintings bring out the spiritual side of him.

The exhibition, Shakya’s seventh solo, was jointly inaugurated by senior artist Gehendra Man Amatya and Danish art-promoter Marie Thesbjerg on December 5.

Shakya has depicted the life and sacred journey of the Buddha. He has experimented with different hues and textures in his paintings. The exhibition is on till December 25.
