Wishing our fathers well
I wish my Baa a long life with Aama. I also wish that you’d decrease your bhundi (paunch) at least five inches and did not watch the Hindi serials till late into the night. I also wish you’d not remind me so often to go and study, and that you’d stop telling me that no money lasts in my hands. And you also don’t need to be afraid to play chess with me because you are my ‘Guru’ in each and every step of life, and chess is not an exception. You are the world’s best father and I am working hard to become the best son. I want to be just like you in all aspects of life minus the bhundi and Hindi serials.

May my eyes always see him, my voice always reach him, and my ears always hear him. May all his dreams be fulfiled because when I was trapped in futile thoughts, he taught me the value of time, when I cried at my failure, he explained the route to success, and when I got swept away, he brought me back to the path of dignity and discipline. For such a wonderful Dad, I wish to be born as his daughter in all my births.

You are the greatest papa in the whole world. Your every word is strength for me to kiss every point of success. You have always been there to support me. I would like to ask god for your good health and a tension-free job.

I wish that my dearly loved Father will always step on flowers and not even a single thorn, that all dreams he has dreamt for me and for my family will come true. May prosperity and happiness always lie at his feet, that he encounters no problems, and that he has lots of determination and confidence to be well known far and wide. I wish all my wishes for my Dad come true.

I wish my beloved father could live a long life full of success and peace. May he be able to accomplish complicated work without any trouble. May he be able to get love from all. May he be respected and renowned for his good deeds.

My brother and I used to celebrate Fathers’ Day by giving our Father lots of fruits, juice, sugar-free biscuits, dry fruits along with the gift that he wanted. But from this year, I will pray to God for his welfare. I’ve noticed that after having a minor operation on his head, he is not very strong and energetic as he used to be. I pray to God for his rejuvenation. I only wish he recovers and becomes as strong as he was before.

Buwa, nothing in this universe can take your place. You are our strength, inspiration and world’s best buwa. No words can describe your importance in our life. We promise we won’t let you down in the ups and downs of life, and that we’ll make you the proud and happiest father in this Universe.

My father is my idol. He is an illiterate, but sent me to a government school to get my education. Even with his meagre income, he never faltered in providing me the materials essential for my education. I wish I could return whatever he has done for me.
— Padam Pariyar
I have seen a dream in my father’s eyes right from my childhood — to make his daughter a renowned doctor. Being the only child, it is upto me to make his dream come true. It may sound weird but all I want is to be successful in my academic career. After all, what better gift can I offer him than to make him see his dreams fulfiled? So, to the world’s greatest dad, I wish to give him the happiness he has longed-for.

Everything I have wished for has come true only because of my Papa. I also know what could be the perfect gift for you. You have always wished me to be successful girl, and I am going to fulfil your dream.
— Jharana Adhikari
I am what I am today because of my father. With out his effort, I would not have acquired any of my successes and achievements. I wish for him to leave all the awful habits and addictions that seriously affect his health. Love is not always expressed physically, but it has many emotions and respects attached to it.

n It’s not necessary to wait for Fathers’ Day wish well for our fathers. A father is happy in his children’s achievements. So we don’t need to do anything special. Whatever good we do for ourselves will ultimately be a gift to our fathers. Being a responsible son, I think 100 times before taking any important step and the impact it will have on my father’s prestige, emotions. I will ensure my father that, not only on Fathers’ Day but on every single day of my life, I will try to put a smile on his face. I will always try to follow the path shown by him.
