It indeed is women’s world. Women who dare to prove their mettle and ability were gathering

at VOITH premises on April 23 and were gearing up to zoom in their cars at VOITH, Sinamangal since morning. It was second Toyota Women’s Motor Rally organised by Vaidya’s Organisation of Industries and Trading Houses (VOITH), in which the participants’ enthusiasm was soaring higher than ever. One hundred and twenty enthusiastic women from different walks of life participated in the rally. Among them, 60 were drivers and 60 were navigators. The 40-kilometre-long rally, with 60 different car models started at Sinamangal to finish at Godavari Village Resort. The theme of the rally was “women behind the driver’s seat”. For everyone present, it was fun and matter of joy. The rally was organised on the basis of time, distance and speed. The team of Shikha Prasai and Sirish Bhatta with its Maruti Zen bagged the first prize with the cash award of Rs 25,000. Pranaa Shakya and Anju Shakya were first runner-ups. The fund raised from the event will be donated to Chaurashi Devi Prathmik Vidyalaya in Dhankuta where 80 girl children are studying.
