KATHMANDU:

The afternoon of February 1 at the Malla Hotel was special for yoga master Dr Anju Dangol. The occasion saw a joint release of her book on yoga Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) and three yoga charts, and her 15th solo photo exhibition entitled ‘Puratatvik Sampada’ (Archeological Heritage).

Organised by Nepal Japan Friendship and Cultural Association, the launch and inauguration of the one-day exhibition was done by Ambassador of Japan Tatsuo Mizuno.

The book tries to teach people the complete way of doing Surya Namaskar. Dangol also explains the word ‘Om’ and visually shows the pictures of seven ‘charkas’ (point of vibrations in the inner body) and other pictures that can be used to enhance concentration.

The photos on exhibit, numbering over 40, included those of the paintings of traditional artwork and mind concentration.
