Letâ€™s add some colour to your plates and cook some delicious carrot halwa.
â€¢ Grated carrot 1 kg
â€¢ Milk 1 litre
â€¢ Sugar 2 cups
â€¢ Ghee 2 tablespoons.
â€¢ Dry fruits (sliced almond and cashew nuts, raisin ) 1/2 cup
â€¢ Cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon
â€¢ Put milk and grated carrots in a heavy base kadhai or deep saucepan and bring it to boil. Cook over medium heat until all the milk is dried up. Stir the mixture occasionally to prevent it from sticking.
â€¢ Add sugar, cardamom powder, one-fourth cup dry fruits and stir continuously for 5-7 minutes.
â€¢ Add ghee. Stir well and cook on low heat until ghee starts separating.
â€¢ Remove from heat.
â€¢ Decorate with remaining dry fruits.
