KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress on Wednesday handed over a cheque worth Rs 18.11m to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala to deposit it in the PM's Disaster Relief Fund. The NC had collected the money to support the families affected by the April 25 earthquake. NC Vice President Ram Chandra Paudel handed over the cheque to PM Koirala at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar. Of the total amount, Rs 7.50m was collected from among the party Central Working Committee members while the rest of the money was collected form NC’s sister organisations and well wishers, said NC in a statement.
