Kathmandu, March 12:

A police team from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, today arrested Arjun Gurung of Syangja on charge of stealing property from the house of SSP Dr Prakash Sapkota at Maharajgunj on Saturday. DSP Shushil Bhandari said they arrested Gurung on a tip-off from their informers. “A group of six persons were involved in the theft. We have also identified other five persons. Search is on to nab them,” he said.

Bhandari said the group stole a laptop, Rs 10,000 and silver jewellery from the house while Dr Sapkota’s family was away from the house on Saturday afternoon. SSP Sapkota is deputed at Birendra Police Hospital in Maharajgunj.
