KATHMANDU:  A person died and another sustained critical injury when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a truck, in Maharajgunj, KMC-3 on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as the motorcycle riders Manish Thapa Magar (19) of Gorkha and Unique Gurung (19) of Milung in Tanahun district, both residing in Gongabu of Kathmandu currently.

The truck (Na 6 Kha 3012) and the motorcycle (Ba 69 Pa 5375) collided head-on at Narayan Gopal Chok yesterday, injuring the motorcycle riders.

Gurung breathed his last while being rushed to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, while Magar has been receiving treatment, said police.
