KATHMANDU: A person died and 23 others were injuries when a picnic bus met with an accident at Lama Gaon of Dakshinkali-11 in Pharping, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Yuvaraj KC (18), a 12th grader of of Caribbean College, Kumaripati in Lalitpur district.

KC had died on the spot, police said.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ba 2 Kha 6922) heading towards Makawanpur for a picnic skidded off and fell some 50 metres down the road at around 8:30 am this morning.

Altogether 22 students of the College and a driver were injured in the incident.

Three of the students were critically injured and are being treated at the National Trauma Centre in of Kathmandu whereas others are being treated at other hospitals in the Capital, informed police.
