KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died after being crushed by a three-wheeler, which overturned on road in Satdobato of Lalitpur, on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Ajaya Shakya (47) from Harisiddhi of Lalitpur.

Shakya had sustained serious injuries while the vehicle (Ba 1 Ha 3753) overturned on the road after its driver fell unconscious while on the move today.

He was taken to the B&B Hospital in Gwarko, where he died during treatment, according to police.

Meanwhile, Manisha Shakya (37) of Harisiddhi and Ishwar Man Shrestha (42) from Sirubari of Sindhupalchok sustained injuries in the accident and are undergoing treatment at the Gwarko-based health facility.

The driver, whom police did not name, has also been admitted to the same hospital.

Further investigation is underway.
