12 tonnes of waste collected from Bagmati

KATHMANDU: The Bagmati Clean-up Campaign celebrated its 156th week today.

On the occasion, volunteers collected over 12 tonnes of waste from various points of Bagmati and Manohara Rivers.

The Clean-up campaign founder and former chief secretary Leela Mani Poudyal, Chancellor at Nepal Academy Ganga Prasad Upreti and artist Sitaram Kattel and large number of volunteers and Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel joined today’s campaign.

Every Saturday morning, volunteers join the campaign which has also received support of various organisations.
