Bhaktapur, July 21:

A minor has accused her father of repeatedly raping her in the absence of her mother.

A girl, 12, of Bhaktapur Municipality-4 Kamalbinayak, who has not yet reached the age of puberty, accused her father, 36, of repeatedly raping her in absence of her mother.. “He used to threaten me to beat me up like he did to my mother,” she said. He used to tell her that nothing would happened until she began menstruating.

The YCL office in Bhaktapur handed over the accused to the Community Police Service at Gatthaghar after she contacted. The police have handed him over to Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi. Sub-Inspector Devi Prasad Sangraula said police would seek maximum punishment for the accused if proved guilty. The accused, however, denied raping her.
