Parliament meeting adjourned after obstruction of Madhes-centric parties

KATHMANDU: The meeting of Parliament on Sunday was obstructed after the protest of Madhes-centric parties.

The Madhes-centric parties picketed the rostrum by chanting slogans while demanding the stern action against security personnel who were involved in the Saturday night shooting in Saptari.

Subsequently, the meeting of Parliament was adjourned for November 26.

Before the obstruction, Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel had spoken at the House and demanded that the Constitution Amendment Bill and the Bill on National Reconstruction Authority be discussed soon.
