Kathmandu, June 9:

Two unidentified persons attacked Surendra Rana Magar, an 11th grader at the Ideal College at Maijubahal, Chabahil, with a sword today, the police said.

Phusarbu Sherpa, on whose motorcycle the 11th grader was riding pillion, was also injured in the attack.

Accompanied by Phusarbu Sherpa, the 11th grader was on his way to meet a teacher at the Madan Bhandari Memorial College and take a mobile phone set from him. The two unidentified attackers, too, had come on a motorcycle.

Sherpa and Rana Magar, who sustained injuries, have been undergoing treatment in the Medicare Research Centre, Chabahil, police said, adding that Magar is in a critical condition.

Police said a search is on to identify and nab the assailants.
