2 held for involvement in daylight theft cases

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in various daylight theft cases.

Ujjwal Lama aka Max (24) from Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-4 of Parsa district and Sanjaya Khadgi (24) from Gyaneshwor, KMC-33 were separately arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.

Police said they were involved in daytime theft cases in Lainchaur, Kapan and other places of the Valley.

Recently, they stole property worth Rs 486,560 including cash, gold ornaments and gadgets from the house of Bishnu Paudel, in Lainchaur, KMC-29.

Both of the suspects have been sent to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu for further investigations and actions.

Meanwhile, police recovered various gadgets from them, which police claimed were stolen.
