KATHMANDU: Two persons were arrested for stealing corrugated zinc sheets at a rate higher than the market price, in Bhaktapur on Thursday.

Tuntun Chaudhary (45), operator of a shop in Sallaghari, Surya Binayak-1 of the district, and his staffer Abadesh Kumar (22) were arrested for overcharging customers.

A joint monitoring team of the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies and police had found that the shop was selling a zinc sheet bundle for Rs 6,300, while its market price was Rs 5,900.

Further investigation is underway.
