2 injured in assorted Valley traffic accidents

KATHMANDU: Police reported two injuries in assorted traffic accidents in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday.

A motorcyclist was injured after a bus hit him in Kalanki of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The injured has been identified as Raj Kumar Lamichhane (35) of Nuwakot, currently residing in Matatirtha.

He is an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Armed Police Force, currently deployed at the National APF Training Academy, Matatirtha.

The bus (Ba 2 Kha 7134) had hit the motorcycle (BA 52 Pa 3325) at around 9:30 last night.

Lamichhane is being treated at Kalanki- based City Centre Hospital.

Meanwhile, a man was injured after falling off a moving bus (Ba 2 Kha 9440) in Koteshwor of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The injured has been identified as Suresh Rai (22) of Okaldhunga.

Rai is being treated at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, police said.

Police have arrested drivers involved in both the cases and impounded the vehicles for further investigation.
