KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday said that two cases of theft were reported in the Valley on Wednesday.

Property worth Rs 115,000 was stolen from a rented room in Balaju on Wednesday.

Police said that Rs 40,000 in cash and a gold ornament weighing 1.5 tola were stolen from the room of Tara Dhakal (35).

Dahal is a permanent resident of Kerabari-3, Gorkha.

Likewise, cash and gold ornaments worth 460,000 were stolen from the house of Ratna Limbu in Suryabinayak-9 of Bhaktapur.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified persons stole Rs 10,000 in cash and gold ornaments made up of nine tola.

Police informed that they are looking into both cases.
