KATHMANDU: Police said they seized more than 200 lathis prepared by cadres of the Federal Alliance and its constituents for their demonstrations scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

As many as 22 sticks were seized from the cadres while they were crossing the restricted zone in New Baneshwor today, police said.

Meanwhile, around 200 lathis were seized from an open space in Shantinagar, KMC-34 today itself.

The sticks were being prepared for a demonstration scheduled for tomorrow.
