Impersonators, not PM Oli, on Facebook: Press Advisor

KATHMANDU: It seems impersonators and trolls on social media sites have annoyed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and his office a lot.

His press advisor, Pramod Dahal, released a statement on Tuesday to make it clear that Prime Minister Oli does not have any Facebook account.

According to him, @PM_Nepal is the only Twitter handle that the country's executive head is currently using.

The account was created and used as official Twitter handle by then Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, and handed over to his Oli.

Over 90 thousands Twitter users follow @PM_Nepal. "This account is handled by media team supporting PM Oli. Tweets by PM are followed by signature - PM," reads its bio.

Dahal further urged all not to believe or get carried away by the posts on other accounts, indicating that Oli's personal accounts, which were used in the past, could have been compromised.

The other Twitter account @KPSharmaOli, which Oli was using on personal capacity, has not been updated since October 15 last year.
