3 held for petro products black-marketing

KATHMANDU: Police arrested a 55-year-old man on charge of black-marketing petroleum products in Kathmandu.

Acting on a tip off, police said, they arrested Shambhu Saha, a permanent resident of Dhanusha, in possession of petroleum, diesel and kerosene from  in front of Model Hospital in Bagbazar.

He was reportedly found out to be selling the petroleum products charging extra money

Likewise, police said they arrested two persons red-handed when they petrol was being sold in higher rates at the parking lot in Patan Dhoka of Lalitpur.

One of them, identified as Nema Lama of Kavre, is said to be supplier. The other person is taxi driver, Khem Lama of Laltipur.

The arestee has been identified as Shambhu Sah (55) of Mangalpur-7 in Dhanusa district, currently residing in

Bagh Bazar, KMC-31.

According to police, Sah was held with kerosene, Petrol and diesel, while he was indulged in selling the petroleum

in augmented price, in front of Kathmandu Model Hospital in bagh Bazar.

Similarly, two others were detained from Patandhoka Taxi Park in lalitpur today.

The detainees have been identified as Khem Lama (38) of Dolakha district, currently residing at Patandhoka who is

a driver of Taxi (Ba 2 Ja 213), and Nema Lama (29) of kavre district. The duo were held while they were selling

petrol in augmented price.

The investigation is underway, informed police.
