JC renews term of 28 judges for 6 months

KATHMANDU: Twenty-eight additional judges of the appellate courts have got their term renewed for the next six months.

A meeting of the Judicial Council (JC) on Tuesday decided to continue the services of 28 additional judges (with temporary status) including Agni Thapaliya, Anita Manandhar Joshi, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Jagannath Mahato, Saroj Raj Gautam and Rajendra Kumar Pokhrel for the next six months, JC Officiating Secretary Krishna Giri informed.

Their terms were ending today itself.

The Nepal Bar Association on Monday called on the JC to immediately call its meeting to take a decision regarding the tenure of additional judges.
