3.7 local magnitude earthquake hits Kathmandu in wee hours

KATHMANDU: The National Seismological Centre has recorded a light tremor of local magnitude 3.7 in the wee hours of Wednesday.

It recorded a tremor at 2:04 am. The epicentre was located north of the New Bus Park, Gongabu, said the NSC.

The tremor was also felt in nearby areas.

Hundreds of aftershocks measuring less than 4.0 magnitude have been recorded so far.
