3 new ambassadors present letters of credence

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed ambassadors of China, Qatar and Switzerland to Nepal have presented their letters of credence to President Bidya Devi Bhandari at a special ceremony held at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, today.

Chinese Ambassador Yu Hong, Qatar's Yousuf Mohammad Ahmed Mommad Al-hail and Switzerland's Jorg Giovanni Frieden presented their letters of credence to the President on the occasion. They are all resident ambassadors.

Likewise, Cuba's Ambassador to Nepal Oscar Israel Martinz Cordoves presented his letter of credence to President Bhandari today. Cordoves is the non-resident ambassador. The Cuman Embassy based in New Delhi, India is looking after the Nepal affairs.

Present on the occasion were Minister for Foreign Affairs Prakash Sharan Mahat, Chief of the Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, the Secretary at the Office of the President and senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
