3 thefts reported on Sunday

KATHMANDU: Police reported three incidents of property crime in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Property worth Rs 202,500 was stolen from the rented room of Sumitra Dhakal in Tarakeshwor Municipality-20 of Kathmandu yesterday.

An unidentified gang of thieves barged into the room and made off with jewelleries made up of four tola gold and 10 tola silver, police said.

In another incident, gold jewelleries weighing around three tola, worth Rs 150,000, were stolen from the house of Arjun Gautam, near Panchakumari Temple in Kapan, Budhanilakantha Municipality-12 yesterday.

Meanwhile, a gang of thieves broke into the house of Bishal Tuladhar in Pakanajol, KMC-29 and made off with seven tola gold ornaments, two laptops and other belongings collectively worth Rs 593,000.

While looking for suspects of all the cases, police have expedited further investigations.
