3 thefts reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police said that three incidents of property crime were reported in the Kathmandu Valley on Monday.

Property worth around Rs 1.2 million was stolen from a singing bowl store in Thamel.

According to a complaint lodged with police, unidentified thieves stole as many as 500 singing bowls from the store of Achyut Prasad Thapaliya, a permanent resident of Chaturali-1 in Nuwakot.

Similarly, goods worth around Rs 192,000 were stolen from the Jugal Hardware and UP Home Appliance jointly operated by Tanka Prasad Parajuli and Umesh Budhathoki in Pepsicola, KMC-35.

Police said that unidentified thieves stole 10 cartoons of tap and eight water motors among others goods from the store.

Likewise, property worth Rs 200,000 was stolen from the under construction house of Harish Singh Thapa at Setipakha in Mahalaxmi-9, Lalitpur.
