4 theft cases reported from Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday said four theft cases were reported from various locations of Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

An unidentified gang of thieves entered into a room of local Tibet Guest House in Thamel through the window ventilator and took away bank cards, a gold ring and UAE dirham 300 belonging to the guest last night.

The victim has been identified as Rojina Pariyar of Chandragiri-4 of Kathmandu.

Similarly, the unidentified gang broke into an unattended rented room at Devinagar, KMC-10 and decamped with a laptop and gold jewellery worth Rs 153,000 in total.

Likewise, the unidentified thieves barged into an unattended house of Rabin Prakash Chhetri at Mainjubahal, KMC-7 and took away gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 190,000.

In another similar incident at Kusunti of Lalitpur, the thieves took away gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 178,000.

Meanwhile, police said they are looking into all the cases.
