4 thefts reported on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: As many as four incidents of theft were reported from various locations of Kathmandu on Tuesday.

Two teens allegedly stole property from the house of Bhesh Bahadur Singh in Balaju, KMC-16 yesterday, according to police.

The same group went to Singh's in-laws' house in Chhetrapati of Kathmandu for the theft, police added.

Collectively, they made off with a mountain cycle, two mobile phones, a diamond ring, a pearl top, a wrist watch, a camera and clothes.

In another case, property worth Rs 136,000 including Rs 100,000 cash and an iPhone was stolen from the house of Thakur Prasad Pandey in Dhaneshwor Temple are, Tokha-12 yesterday.

The valuables belonged to Pandey's son-in-law Raj Kumar Sapkota, according to police.

Yet, in a similar case, property was stolen from the room of Tanka Raj Giri in Dhobichaur, KMC-17.

Police suspected that a domestic worker at his father-in-law Bimal Rana Magar's house, Sandeep Singh (18), made off with Rs 1.05 million cash and some ornaments.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into the cases.
