KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested seven persons from different locations of Kathmandu in possession of contraband drugs.

Santosh Thakur (18) from Motihari of India and Bishal Pandit (28) from Gajuri-1 of Dhading were arrested from Kalanki Chok, KMC-14 on Saturday.

A team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati, seized 58 gram brown heroin from them.

Likewise, five persons were arrested from a guesthouse in Balaju of Kathmandu on Friday.

A joint police team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division and Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, detained them from the Famous NK Guesthouse, Machhapokhari, KMC-16.

They were held in possession of 4.5 kg hashish.

Police are looking into the case.
