7 Nepalis including toddler repatriated from Malaysia

KATHMANDU: As many as seven Nepalis including a woman and her one-year-old toddler, who were stranded in Malaysia, have been rescued and repatriated to Nepal on Tuesday.

According to the press statement issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, Sujita Kumari Singh Chauhan of Itahari-8 in Sunsari and her one-year-old son Simon Kumar Singh; Sosil Kumar Sahani of Bathanaha-4 in Siraha; Dipendra Bahadur Khadka of Pranamipur-6 in Sarahi; Sukman Tamang of Birendranagar-8 in Chitwan; Dinesh Kumar Sunuwar of Rasnalu -2 in Ramechhap and Thakur Rajbanshi of Sanischare-9 in Jhapa, were rescued and sent to Nepal.

They were taking shelter at a camp in Malaysia and could not afford tickets to return to the country.
