KATHMANDU: After 73 per cent students of public schools served by Teach for Nepal fellows in Lalitpur district passed the SLC exams, joy and ecstasy have overflowed from the fellows' hearts. The examinations were held in March last year. Teach for Nepal (TFN) is a movement of outstanding university graduates and young professionals who are committed to end education inequity in Nepal starting with two years of fellowship teaching in public schools. More than 574,000 students had taken the SLC examinations from across the nation.  Among them, around 370 students had appeared from the Teach for Nepal fellows’ schools, the organisation said in a statement. With an objective of strengthening quality of public schools and ending the education inequity in Nepal, as many as 86 fellows are currently teaching in 32 schools across Lalitpur and Sindupalchok and Dhanusha districts.
