80 judges picked for seven High Courts
KATHMANDU: A Judicial Council meeting held till late Thursday night has taken a decision to recommend 80 judges for the High Court judgeship.
The meeting recommended the names of 80 legal practitioners for the vacant positions at seven high courts, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ajaya Shankar Nayak, said.
The recommendation includes 16 legal practitioners from joint-secretary and special class level, 37 district judges and 27 from Nepal Bar Association (NBA).
The meeting was presided over by Chief Justice (CJ) Sushila Karki.
