King Gyanendra, on the occasion of his 59th birthday, conferred decorations and honorary titles on members of the royal family and 822 individuals. While the Jyotirmaya Subikhyat Trishaktipatta (first) has been conferred on Princess Prearana, Chief Justice Hari Prasad Sharma, Kumar Raj Bahadur Singh, Chief of the Army Staff General Pyar Jung Thapa and Principal Secretary Mir Subba Pashupati Bhakta Maharjan have been decorated with the Suprasidda Prabal Gorkha Dakchin Bahu (first).
